The 2008 Turoa Snowsports Institute course is a a 14 week Training programme, including accommodation, daily transport and season pass based  in Ohakune.

 The course will run July 21 through Oct 26.

A sample course  outline is as follows:


WEEK 1            July 21-27: 
       Arrive prior to Monday 21July, ready for training to commence on the Monday.
Ski / Ride improvement.
WEEK 2           July 28-Aug 3: 
       Midweek; Ski / ride improvement, intro to NZSIA system. 
     Weekend: "Shadow" Snowschool lessons.
WEEK 3            Aug 4-10:  
       Midweek; Teaching focus beginner to novice levels, kids teaching module.
        Weekend;  "Shadow" Snowschool lessons. 
WEEK 4             Aug 11-17:  
      Midweek; CSI exam prep, teach and ski / ride focus
       Weekend; Final "Shadow" weekend.
WEEK 5           Aug 18-24:   
       Midweek; CSI exam, signoff for paid teaching
        Weekend; On Snowschool staff, working.
WEEK 6            Aug 25-31:
       Midweek; NZSIA stage one focussed ski/ride and demos
         Weekend; On Snowschool staff, working.
WEEK 7             Sep 1-7: 
       Midweek; Freeski / Freeride / Freestyle accelerator week.
        Weekend; On Snowschool staff, working.  
WEEK 8            Sep 8-14:
       Midweek; Intermediate to Advanced teaching focus
        Weekend; On Snowschool staff, working. 
WEEK 9            Sep 15-21:
       Midweek; Intermediate to Advanced teaching focus
        Weekend; On Snowschool staff, working. 
WEEK 10            Sep 22-28:
      Training focus as required by participant needs.
         Weekend;  On Snowschool staff, working. 
WEEK 11            Sept29-Oct 5: 
       School Holidays, work 3 days, train 3 days. 
WEEK  12            Oct 6-12: 
        School Holidays, work 3 days, train 3 days.

       NZSIA STAGE ONE EXAM
WEEK 14            Oct 20-26 
       Free ski / Ride Mt Ruapehu's legendary spring skiing
