New Zealand's magnificent Mt Ruapehu and the Turoa Ski Area is home to the Turoa Snowsports Institute ski and snowboard instructor training programmes.

A unique and affordable opportnuity to train towards internationally recognised ski and snowboard instructor qualifications while at the same time gaining valuable and paid experience actually teaching classes as a bona fide instructor..

The Turoa Snowsports Institute has been designed by the management and training team at the Turoa Snow School in association with working holiday specialists at IEP NZ www.iep.co.nz and BUNAC www.bunac.co.uk to provide state of the art training towards the NZSIA / SBINZ CSI ( Certificate in Snowsports Instruction) and Stage One qualification and actual, paid, work experience in an affordable accommodation inclusive package.

The 14 week course includes 12 weeks of training, three days a week ,plus full weekends which will consist of shadowing qualified instructors for the first 4 weekends and teaching lessons as a Snow School staff member there after. The other two weeks are exam weeks, one mid-season and one at the end of the season.

Also included in the course are accommodations for the 14 weeks in the beautiful town of Ohakune, a season pass, transport to and from the mountain on training and work days, acccess to "pro deals" on equipment from our preferred suppliers,  clinics, visits to local attractions, official TSI garment. 

This is one of the worlds most affordable instructor training programmes, and one of the few run directly within a snowschool environment.
